Small Group Classes
Small Groups classes are offered in all dance genres to dancers who demonstrate fundamental understanding of body alignment, anatomy/kinesiology, and technique. These lessons will focus on development of specific skills relevant to the genre of dance as well as development of skills related to movement quality and choreography details and retention. Understandings of dance history and terminology are also enhanced through these classes.
Prior to participation in a small group program, dancers are required to first complete an initial assessment and a minimum of three hours of private lessons with an instructor. These lessons will allow the dancer to establish a basis of understanding of BC Artistry curriculum and exercises to be completed to support participation in their small group program. This will ensure that all dancers participating in small group classes are engaged in their development.
